OREA is bringing metal back. This time with a more refined approach. Marking 5 years since the original V1 & V2, the O1 Steel series is built from years of learning, redesign, and careful development to improve both usability and performance.

There are two steel variants now: O1 Obsidian Steel and O1 Steel Raw — same core design, different vibe.

Both are made from high-grade stainless steel imported from South Korea, super consistent and very food-safe. Unlike the old V2, these are double-walled, which creates an air pocket that keeps heat stable in the brew chamber while staying comfy to touch. Brewing-wise, the thermal behavior is closer to OREA’s plastic brewers — low radiative loss, stable temp, smooth and balanced cups.

The Obsidian Steel comes with a glossy ceramic-coated interior and a matte obsidian black exterior. It’s grungy, textured, very throwback V2 energy, but more refined. Just note: it’s coated, so better avoid dishwashers and rough handling if aesthetics matter to you.

The Steel Raw is for the lowkey “buy once, use forever” people. Totally uncoated, electropolished inside to avoid any metallic taste, and hand-polished outside to a semi-rough finish (between brushed and mirror). It’s dishwasher safe, super durable, stain-resistant, and honestly could last generations.

Both use the Original Open Bottom design, delivering the signature OREA taste profile: clean, vibrant acidity, balanced sweetness, lighter tea-like body, and insane brew-to-brew consistency. The Baby O size is perfect for small doses (10–18g) and travel, more control, less heat loss, less hassle.

Also important: steel is endlessly recyclable, which makes this a solid sustainability choice, literally.
